I am a Behaviour Support Practitioner with an extensive background in residential youth work, disability support and case management. I have experience supporting individuals with complex behavioural, emotional and support needs and brings a practical understanding of how behaviour support strategies are implemented in everyday environments and routines. I take a person-centered, strengths-based and trauma-informed approach to my practice. I value taking the time to understand my participants and their communication, environment, relationships, preferences and support needs. I enjoy working collaboratively with participants and their key supports to develop practical strategies that promote quality of life, independence, safety and meaningful participation. I have completed a Diploma in Child, Youth and Family Intervention and am currently completing a Bachelor of Human Services to continue building my knowledge and skills within the disability and human services sector.
