I enjoy supporting children and families, particularly behaviours that are complex. I have experience working in my current role with Autism Spectrum Disorder, Psychosocial Disability, Intellectual Disability, Acquired Brain Injury, Dementia, and dual disabilities. I also have experience supporting both adults and children, non-speaking people, CALD and First Nations participants. What drew me to my current position is my lived experience with family members living with disability, and my previous work as a support worker during my Psychology degree. I strive to make a positive difference in my work and create meaningful impact in participants, and their family and caregivers lives through motivation and confidence building, reducing and eliminating restrictive practices, increasing independence and providing reliable, collaborative, and respectful care.
